TEEN THERAPY
Individual therapy provides a safe, supportive space where teens can explore their feelings, share their experiences, and develop essential coping skills. Our team of therapists lead sessions that empower teens to navigate life's challenges while fostering personal growth and emotional well-being. Through one-on-one conversations, teens gain the tools and insight necessary to build resilience and strengthen their mental health. In California, minors aged 12 and older have the legal right to independently consent to individual therapy, giving them an active role in their mental health care.

What to Expect
1. Contact Us to Make an Appointment
If you have more questions, you can set up a FREE 15 minute phone consultation with the therapist. Once you have scheduled your first session, look out for an email from us to complete your consent forms and assessment.
2. Attend Initial Assessment
Our Teen Therapy Assessment consists of a total of 2-4 sessions. In the first session your therapist will meet with the Parents/Guardians only. Following the Parent Assessment Session your therapist will then meet with the child alone for 1-3 Child Assessment Sessions(*). Once the Assessment is complete, your therapist will provide a Treatment Plan to reach you and your childs goals. *If the case is a 'Minor Consenting for Themselves' case than the assessment would be treated as an Adult Individaul Assessment unless the minor signed a 'Release of Information' (ROI) for us to meet with/speak with a parent or guardian. See our FAQ's for more information about Minor Consent.
3. Start Treatment Sessions
Start Treatment Sessions to reach your personal goals.
4. Closing Session
Our practice recommend that once your teen has met their goals, to end with a closing session to bring closure to your experience and discuss any further recommendations or resources.
