"Anime Social Skills Group," designed for six 1-hour sessions. This format maintains a focus on social skills development through anime while fitting into the shorter time frame.



Session 1: Introduction and Icebreakers


  • Objectives

  - Build rapport and introduce social skills concepts.


  • Activities:

  - Icebreaker: Share your favorite anime and a character you relate to.

  - Discussion: What social skills are portrayed in anime?

  - Establish group norms and expectations.

Session 2: Empathy Through Character Exploration


  • Objectives

  - Enhance empathy by analyzing characters’ experiences.


  • Activities:

  - Select an anime character and discuss their challenges.

  - Group activity: Identify a situation where the character showed empathy.

  - Reflection: How can we apply this empathy in our own lives?

Session 3: Effective Communication Skills


  • Objectives

  - Develop verbal and non-verbal communication skills.


  • Activities:

  - Watch a short scene focusing on dialogue.

  - Discuss communication styles: What worked? Why?

  - Practice a short dialogue in pairs, focusing on clarity and expression.

Session 4: Conflict Resolution Techniques

  - Learn strategies for resolving conflicts.


  • Activities:

  - Identify a conflict from an anime episode.

  - Discuss how it was resolved and alternative strategies.

  - Role-play different resolutions for the same conflict scenario.

Session 5: Building Friendships and Collaboration

  - Strengthen teamwork and friendship-building skills.


  • Activities:

  - Group discussion on friendship dynamics in anime.

  - Team-building game inspired by anime themes (e.g., trivia or cooperative challenges).

  - Reflection on what makes a good friend in both anime and real life.
