Lucia Aguilar, AMFT
* FRESNO LOCATION *
I provide support to children (ages 7 and up), young adults, individuals, and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and relational concerns. As a Spanish-speaking clinician, I have a particular interest in collaborating with Latino/a/e/x individuals as they explore aspects of culture, family, identity, and belonging. I recognize that these experiences can be both deeply meaningful and uniquely personal.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences, including those within BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and able to bring your whole self to therapy.
I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, drawing from attachment theory, parts work, and narrative therapy. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences may have shaped the way you relate to yourself and others, understand the patterns that influence your emotions and relationships, and make space for the values and identities that are important to you. From there, we’ll work toward developing practical tools and new ways of responding that support meaningful, lasting change, all at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful of where you are.
