David Byers is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Zimmerman Therapy Group. He enjoys working with couples, families, and individuals in areas of trauma resolution, couple therapy, and life transitions, as well as challenges that arise for partners of survivors of trauma. David is EMDR trained and has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for his work with couples and families. David operates from a trauma-informed Attachment Theory lens, and draws on principles of Gestalt and Expressive Arts in his therapeutic work. David is married with three teenage children and lived in Europe for 14 years, which has helped him be mindful of the diverse cultural factors that influence our lives and connection to others.
